Overview
Job Manager Ltd ("we", "us") provides job-management software to field and workshop teams. This policy explains what personal data we hold, why we hold it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and the Job Manager web and mobile apps, and is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The short version: we only collect what we need to run your account, we never sell your data, and your customer records are yours — export or delete them whenever you like.
What we collect
We collect information you give us and information generated as you use the product:
- Account details — your name, work email, business name and role.
- Operational data — the jobs, customers, schedules, notes, photos and timesheets you create in the app.
- Billing data — handled by our payment processor; we store only the last four digits and card type, never the full card number.
- Usage data — device, browser and feature usage, to keep the service reliable and to fix faults.
How we use it
We use your data to provide and improve the service, take payment, give support, and send essential service messages. We rely on the following legal bases:

Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. We use a small number of essential cookies — to keep you signed in, hold your session and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. These can't be switched off without breaking the app. We don't run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any analytics we use is aggregated and can't be tied back to an individual.
Sharing & processors
We never sell your data. We share it only with the sub-processors who help us run the service — hosting, payments and email delivery — and each is bound by a data-processing agreement and the UK GDPR:
- Hosting — our servers and your data sit in the United Kingdom.
- Payments — card details are handled directly by our PCI-compliant payment processor; we never see the full number.
- Email & notifications — used only to send the messages you and your customers expect.
All customer data is stored within the UK. We run encrypted daily backups and restrict staff access to the minimum required to support you.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time. Most of this is self-serve from your account settings; for anything else, contact us and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
